Children’s book created as part of an international awareness campaign around sustainable fishing, led by the MSC and ASC in 2019-2020.
This is the question Omar, a 6-year-old boy, is asking himself, without knowing he is about to embark in an incredible adventure. Armed only with his curiosity, and guided by a reckless lobster, our hero could well turn into a real explorer!
The story, illustrations and design for this booklet were created in collaboration with the Marine Stewardship Council and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council as part of an awareness campaign around sustainable fishing. The booklet was used as a pedagogical tool to teach young people about the importance of protecting the ocean’s resources.
The story, centred around overfishing and sustainable seafood, was based on scientific information provided by both the MSC and the ASC, and the booklet was designed using theMSC’s own branding and visual identity.
The book was translated inFlemish, Walloon, and Dutch, and distributed in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
